ReDiscovers Aqua can turn your unloved pond, or hole of sludge in the bottom of your garden, to a wildlife wonderland. We will use minimal filtration, the aim here is to use planting and nurture to create the perfect ecological water by working in harmony with nature.
We very strongly feel that we have a responsibility to provide an area for wildlife to survive and thrive in the delicate ecosystem we currently reside in. Creating a habitat rich in diverse and native flora and fauna, complete with slopes providing easy access for amphibians and resting nooks for the butterflies and bees, ensures we can all play a part in providing for the smaller creatures that share our gardens. And let's be honest, sipping a glass of something refreshing whilst watching dragonflies dance in the twinkling afternoon sunshine, sounds a pretty magical experience to me.
Maintenance of a wildlife pond
Whilst it may seem that a pond with less filtration needs less maintenance, this is not the case. Management is a delicate balance of creating the perfect ecosystem for all inhabitants. We visit every season to ensure everything is thriving, but also in the case of certain plants, not thriving too much, allowing for planting diversity.
